Relay Solidarity Hunger Strike against THAAD

in solidarity with citizens of Seongju, Soseong-ri, and Gimcheon

Leading up to, and continuing after the Korean presidential election on May 9, Won Buddhists and citizens of Seongju, Gimcheon, and the little village of Soseong-ri have been holding a hunger strike against the forceful and undemocratic deployment of the US missile system THAAD in their hometown, a sacred site of Won Buddhism. Gangjeong people have taken turns joining the hunger strike each day during the first week of May 2017, starting at a big anti-THAAD rally in Seoul, and continuing in Gangjeong and in Seongju.
