Gaze from Island to Island, a forum and documentary exhibit organized around the anti-naval base struggle of Gangjeong village, Jeju island, was held on September 16th, and September 29th, 2012, in Taipei and Kaoshung, in response to Gangjeong International Action Week (September 2-9). Although it was held a little bit late, we still think it counts.
Many Taiwanese who have had the chance to visit Gangjeong can’t easily forget what they’ve witnessed together with the people of Gangjeong. Many new comers attended this event as well, and became interested in this issue. The people who attended this event gave their solidarity by learning what’s going on in Gangjeong.
